The NHS and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.

Do not go to a GP surgery, community pharmacy or hospital. Call 111, stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people.

Repeat Prescriptions

If you require regular medication a list of your repeat medication will be attached to multicolour_pillsyour prescription.  To order your medicines please tick the box next to each item required and return the slip to the post-box at the main health centre door for Dufftown or Medical Centre for Tomintoul.

You can also order your medicines by phone – please telephone 01340821636(24 hour answering machine) leaving a note of your name, address and a list of the medication you require. 

Collections

Prescriptions are delivered to the Dufftown Pharmacy or you may ask to collect your prescription from reception. Tomintoul prescriptions can be collected from the Tomintoul Medical Centre.

Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
